What steps are you taking to reduce your footprint? (reducing travel, improving energy efficiency, reducing office waste, carbon audit, etc.)
Corporate Knights explicitly took on the issue of paper sustainability in our 2005/6 Forestry Issue (downloadable at http://static.corporateknights.ca/CK15Feb2006.pdf) and held an Executive Roundtable on the topic of FSC certification in January 2006. The breakfast caused several billion-dollar organizations to switch to FSC-certified paper. In 2007, at the behest of Corporate Knights, our printer West Star Printing became an FSC-certified printing facility (see http://www.west-star.com/). In 2008, Corporate Knights began printing with uncoated, FSC-certified paper from Cascades (Rolland ST30 with 30 per cent de-inked post-industrial fibre and 70 per cent virgin FSC fibre), and in April 2009 switched over to our current paper (details below). We also have a car-free staff and work in a green building.
