Environmental Stewardship Initiative:

The American Prospect, Inc., is proud to announce the launch of our environmental stewardship initiative – a holistic effort to ensure that the production and distribution of The American Prospect has as light a footprint as possible. No company or nonprofit can ignore its environmental impact, given the ecological crises that face our planet. The Prospect has long had a commitment to in-depth environmental reporting. We encourage you to examine some of our most recent reports on environmental topics, including rebuilding after Hurricane Katrina and the potential of a green economy.

The Prospect is committed to not just environmental reporting but to being a leader in ecologically sound publishing and office management practices. These challenges are particularly acute to the publishing industry; we're proud to announce that starting with the May '09 issue, The American Prospect will be printed on 85 to 100 percent recycled paper, including a minimum of 10 percent post-consumer waste.

Use the following links to find information about our holistic green initiative, including our environmental stewardship policy adopted this year and our green office practices. We encourage you to take a look around, examine our practices, and contact Adam Waxman with any questions.
