Since its inception, Maker Media has been devoted to using recycled and environmental-friendly products, such as chlorine-free paper and soy-based inks. Over the past 5 years, we've been able -- through great negotiations with our printer and paper mills -- to increase the post-consumer recycled content from 10% to 30%. Additionally, we continue to check the costs and discuss alternatives with buying groups, other publishers, and other mills, to explore even higher recycled content paper at reasonable costs. Focusing on an online community, and content, as well as researching print-on-demand options are also pieces of our environmental commitment.
